Abstract:

Due to recent advances in quantum simulators, interest in understanding thermalizing many-body systems has increased in recent years. In this presentation, we discuss two topics within the subject of thermalization: The Eigenstate Thermalization Hypothesis—an ansatz about matrix elements of observables when written in the energy eigenbasis—as well as deep thermalzation—the idea that higher moments of ensembles also exhibit thermalizaing behavior.
