The Physics Education Forum is open to all faculty, students, and researchers from physics and beyond with an interest in expanding their knowledge and experience about education topics.
Description
For this forum, we will be discussing the merits and limits of incorporating student choice in assessments. We will hear from some instructors who have been including choices as part of exams, including student behaviors, performance, and their impressions on the impact to assessment quality. We will then discuss the ways in which student choices can contribute to, or inhibit, their learning.
