Abstract

Coherent optical transition radiation (COTR) and its interferometric variant (COTRI) offer powerful diagnostic techniques for analyzing laser- wakefield-accelerated electron beams. In this talk, I will present methods for reconstructing the spatial structures and emittance of these beams by combining COTR(I) diagnostics with machine learning. This integrated approach enables high-resolution mapping of spatial distribution and precise emittance characterization, essential for understanding electron beam dynamics in plasma-based accelerators and for driving next- generation light sources.
